Elena Hazanov was born in Moscow, in Russia, the 1rst June 1977. At 12 years old, she arrives with her family in Switzerland, in Geneva, where she continues to study.
In 2006, Elena Hazanov finished her second feature “THE TRANSLATOR “, a co-production Switzerland-Russia (Ventura Film / Filmocom). The world premiere of the movie took place at the Locarno Film Festival. The film was also selected in the official competition at Munich Film Festival, at Edingburgh Film Festival, at Kinotavr Film Festival.
